EDUCATION
Rochdale College of Art (Intermediate Art Course); Manchester College of Art (Fashion Design Course); Royal College of Art (Fashion Design Degree Course - awarded MDesRCA 1968).
WORK EXPERIENCE
After leaving college, worked in the garment industry as a designer and pattern cutter for several firms. Employed by Barbara Hulanicki as a pattern cutter and colourist, and designed the children's department in the third of her four shops. During this time, freelance illustration for magazines and newspapers had been increasing and from 1973 has been completely self-employed.

Designed various cards for GALLERY FIVE,  SKATZ/ELGIN COURT and his own company ARTY CORNER.

Illustrations have appeared in over 40 publications including: BELLA, BLUE JEANS, CHAT, CRICKET, DAILY EXPRESS, HI!, GUARDIAN, HONEY, LOOK NOW, MELANIE, MIRABELLE, MOTHER, MOTHER & BABY, OBSERVER, OVER 21, PATCHES, PETTICOAT, RADIO TIMES, SUNDAY TIMES, TV TIMES, VOGUE, WOMAN and WOMAN'S OWN. Regular commissions include: four comic strips - MADGE AND BERYL for JACKIE, LUCY'S LOT for PRIMA, THE WRIGHTS for WOMAN'S WEEKLY and IN STITCHES for SIMPLY KNITTING magazines; illustrating Lynda Lee-Potter's column in the DAILY MAIL; letters page and GOOD HEALTH, and GOOD ADVICE drawings for WOMAN'S WEEKLY.
